Come on man, honestly if you look at the fact that r. kelly has shown success in every single area necessary to prove this point, and look past his legal woes it makes total sense that some would deem him the greatest R&B singer of all time.

Record Sales: check
Hits: check
Appeal to wide range of audiences: check
Reinventing himself: check
Songwriting & Producing: check
Having the actual ability to sing (which alot of artists nowadays do not possess): check
Being able to still be successful having a marred reputation and legal battles: CHECKMATE!
I don't care what other R&B singer you name, NONE of them can say that they have covered all of these bases. Sorry, but it's the truth! I played Chocolate Factory on the way back to STL on Sunday and I have to say, that is one of the coldest albums he has every compiled. It is what it is.....Yes, the man is a pedophile, but that says nothing about his musical capabilities....
