the paranoia is staggering. we have to bomb iran because muslims in 832 invaded italy. we don't want another 832!

i remember how my stomach sank when rumsfeld made that remark. the war had been a model of professinalism up till that point. i had supported it, I wasn't really into politics at the time, but I knew alot of people didn't. and I knew they were not going to accept that henny penny stuff as an excuse. it was glorious for about a half a day though!
