Gravatar That's because you never went.

Gravatar True.

Gravatar I was in high school for the first Iraq war, and there was no argument -- Me opposed, everyone else for.

That sucked. This was in rural mountain country too.

Gravatar That teacher seems pretty biased to me. Anyone else get that feeling?

Gravatar of course the teacher is biased. People need to be agreed with, even if it is my ego-centric teenagers.

We did talk about current events, but at least our teacher required that we have sources (documentable) and NOT argue emotionally. he was a leftie, but at least he was fair.

I'm sick of the war debate and Monday Morning QBs. If they had a child experiencing close calls every day while on patrol, would they think differently???

I miss my son...

Gravatar Well, for what it's worth, I do think most of them think the troops are better off at home...

Gravatar LD~

Best wishes that your son returns safely. I know how worried I was when my uncle and cousin were over there, I cant imagine the difference of having a son in the same situation.

Gravatar Of course, I'm still young enough that I can barely imagine having kids, period. Let alone one's old enough to fight a war.

Gravatar Well, I can agree on the second, tho not the first... Boo's just 4...
