One of the funniest jokes on the subject is from Futurama. A horse race is so close that it comes down to a "quantum photo finish." When the winner is announced, the Professor tears up his ticket and yells "No fair! You changed the outcome by measuring it!"

QP is so misused as a genie in the bottle type explanation for everything weird or wacky that ever happens that hearing a better explanation on it is very interesting.
