It is not being prudish to expect a merchant to have respect for the very customer who is lining his pocket.
In fact this ad isn't selling clothes at all. From your very words it is selling you a fantasy that you are less than real or human. Fine for you but as I mentioned before don't piss on women with your short sightedness. Self respect is something one has to earn to appreciate. Start working on yours.
What's funny is that comment is such self-righteous, angry, and accusatory that, combined with its anonymity, I almost have to wonder if someone's trying to have a little fun.
It's especially funny to tell someone they can't post their dreams and fantasies on their blog, especially if they involve plastic erotica (that stuff takes ages to biodegrade, you know).

And I will have to agree with Dave on how the comment seems to be a joke.
Oh yeah, clothing ads (especially designer labels) are totally not about selling fantasy. I mean, just look at any fashion magazine. The world is just overflowing with 6' 125lb women who look at those other ads and, say, "Hey, that looks just like *my* fabulously beautiful and wealthy boyfriend! It's like they've captured my life and put it on film!" Whatever. You can't even SEE the clothes in those St. John ads, much as I love to look upon Angelina's perfect pout, a close up of her mouth is not exactly about selling clothes either, but I don't see the feminazi's up in arms about that.
And it is precisely because I have a high self esteem that I am free to enjoy my submissive fantasies without feeling "feminist guilt" about it. And I'm so sure I'm alone, too, because there is certainly not a whole industry that revolves around selling women literature about being ravaged by pirate kings or wealthy nobility that sells billions of books per year because women go through them like tissues. Oh wait. OR maybe this woman thinks that romance novels don't have a market either.
Maybe if we stopped shaming women into thinking that liking sex (especially submissive sex) is a product of having no self respect, more women would have orgasms. Sheesh.
