At one time I worked in a newspaper office where staff had strict instructions to write 'Christmas' in full. Never 'Xmas' which was considered slack.
One day the office junior took an advert over the phone for 'eczema-free pasture' but she remembered her training and wrote 'Christmas-free pasture'.
