Gravatar Beautiful post.

Gravatar Really great piece, you should make it into a short story.

Gravatar I remember her as a new German immigrant to the USA growing up in a small Illinois town. My dad was working three jobs around the clock and mom ran a delicatessen. We lived out back. Those were hard times but many fond memories.

I and my sister had time after school and between the TV and radio, from songs like hers we learned English.

Gravatar This was a beautiful post, thanks. I love to walk late at night. It is quiet and peaceful. Shortly it will be time for the meteor showers, so the next week or so should make for great walking. Then end of the month, they are saying that mars will be closer to the earth than it has been since before the birth of Christ and may actually be as large as the moon....so get back out there.

Gravatar Thanks to all for your comments.

Gravatar After reading your reference on my blog to conversations with your grandmother, I had to read this. It was even more than I hoped it would be.

It brought back some lovely memories to me.

Thanks again, Scot

smiles,
me-Liz
