"...we part with tender relations stretching far behind us, that never can be exactly renewed..."

Gravatar It is difficult to see a mother who has lost a son, behaving like a pawn of the DNC....oh excuse me, she is working with them, has her own advisor.

She is dragging the memory of her son, who volunteered to serve our nation, through the dirt.

Many of her relatives have ask her to quit her selfish grandstanding. She sure loves the spotlight. It is a shame.

I remember when Nick Berg's parents went on a rage, directed towards our President. They said a few words once and then shut up. I respect them for this, I cannot imagine the grief. But grief doesn't give someone the right to act this way. A lot of people don't have sense in matters like this. You certainly have my attention upon the mention of your loss. Leave it there, just like I abhor roadsite crosses. I have no way to share the grief that is being broadcast, so it makes me feel uneasy, so grieve to yourself. A lot of weak people use grief to draw attention to themselves. Please don't grieve in public. Grieve silently,Then and then only can you come to grips with the situation.

Gravatar Your last sentence makes a good point. Thanks for reading and commenting. Scot

Gravatar It's sad that this young man's heroism is being forgotten by his mom and the media for political reasons.

Gravatar I'm impressed that you live in Maine! It seems that just about the entire Northeast is blue. I did a Technorati search for "Bush impeachment" to see what the left was grinding out and came across this refreshing post. My husband was in the Big Red One in Vietnam, '65 - '67.
