Gravatar Jon, sometimes I feel like you're the one who was picked to be a mecha pilot in a UN armada launched to attack a faraway alien race who destroyed our Martian exploration group and I'm the one sitting at home, waiting and waiting for those text messages from you. Sometimes...

Gravatar Are you calling me a schoolgirl, Adam? YOU ARE, AREN'T YOU

Gravatar Jon, 'Voices' sucked. I mean, I'm sorry, dude. But it was ameturish and not all that impressive. If you want to see some crazy student actually do something good, look up "Blood; the Last Vampire.' Or something that doesn't suck.

That is all.

Gravatar I liked Blood, but I stand by my defense of Voices. We will settle this in a DUEL with giant combat mecha. I pick the kind that has bunny-ear antennae.

Gravatar I will say I was both taken and disappointed with both Blood & Voices -- they're both beautiful, but the problem they share is that both felt like pieces of a larger whole rather than a true self-contained story, and that's just MEAN.

My current favorite under-an-hour anime is Dead Leaves, for the immature violent Jhonen Vasquez-loving teen in us all. It's just not a movie I'm comfortable with recommending because it speaks more of problems I keep in my head.

Also, heal quickly. The time when our paths converge (hopefully for lunch/dinner/something) is nigh!

Gravatar ...Mmmm, Dead Leaves....

Okay Jon, it's on. My mech will be pink. Like the blood of a Klingon. And frog shaped. Like a... frog. *deffinitive nod*

Gravatar Man, I saw Voices on your recommendation, and was amazed. It's just so beautiful and heartbreaking.

Thank you.
