About a minute and a half ago I clicked a link in another blog that took me to Dogblog, so I'm totally new but totally love the Dogblog.
Someone on livejournal directed me to the original blog, and then I added the feed.
Somebody on LiveJournal linked to the blog, and now I read the feed on LJ. I love it!
Nope, hadn't read FC before. I received the link for the Dog Blog through a Yahoo Group. The group is not at all about Dogs, or Blogs (for that matter) but this one person persists on posting silly stuff. All in all, I can positively say I am glad I actually visited the Dog Blog. Not only did I get to waste a vast amount of time at work going through each and every last post, but, I was totally entertained! Good luck on the prowl for more Doggie models. It's too bad you don't take submissions because I have what is, possibly, the baddest, most attitudinal, beautifulest, sweetest Boxer dog on the face of the earth. LOL She's Boo and she tips her hat to your creativity, too. (Okay, so it's not a hat, it's a set of devil ears built on to a doggie head band. That counts, doesn't it?)

The artist of one of the webcomics I read (qwantz.com) posted a link to dogblog. I switched to reading your normal blog after exhausting the entire dogblog archive--I needed a hit, and there were no new dogs! Thanks for brightening up that 3pm slump in my workday...

A friend of mine on LJ mentioned dogblog in a post of his, and have been watching ever since.
I found Dogblog through Metafilter and added the feed on Livejournal once I found that. I love cute dog pictures. (And I totally got a kick out of the Welsh Terrier, dog #160. I have one myself and they're pretty rare, so it's always nice to see random pictures of them!)
Can you see comments posted to LiveJournal? I commented "below" there, before realizing you meant here.

I saw a link on live journal somewhere, followed it, and fell in love with the dogs (and commentary!).
well, one day i was just hanging out at this comic book shop with a bunch of drunk nerds, and there was this one dude see, who kept rocking back and forth in order to keep the world in balance and you know, this dude was just so much fun that I couldn't get enough and now here I am!
if you see him tell him i said hi and the world is seeming really out of balance these days.
I found out from my boyfriend, John, who then pointed me to the livejournal feed. He's very tolerant of the fact that I'm dog crazy...

A work of genius. I have three dogs and love the pictures, but it's your commentary that makes it.
I was reading the technology section of the Tampab Tribune newspaper, and they were doing this tounge in cheek encyclopedia of tech terms. blog was one of them. The author described what blogs are then gave your site address as an example of a personal blog. I am a dog lover who loved, just loved visiting San Fran, so i decided to check out your site. I found dogblog after reading the foodwhore blog that led me to Dr. Alice blog that led me to dogblog. I have pugs. Where are the pug pics??? They have to be the cutest darn dogs ever. They have only survived after all the years in China because they are too cute to eat.

yep, qc and its mesmerizing power sent me here as well. i have stumbled on the page at some point before though, but i can't remember when or how.
I don't recall where I first saw the original URL; I suspect it was cut-n-pasted into a icb/irc window I had open. I do remember that I lost the next hour or so going through the entire dogblog site. I tend to snap pictures of random dogs I stumble across as well - only with a much poorer phone camera. (I'm in DC, so there are plenty of dogs about, especially in the warmer months).

And tonight I decided to check out your main blog, then got curious and headed over to the dogblog. So really I went backwards, but that's, you know, the story of my life. Hi. You're witty as all heck, and that's pretty sexy. You also wear glasses, which is sexy. I am mystified as to why ladies are not following you around as an entourage.

I am something like the 220th person that comes from the Questionable (Content) realm. Jeph linked to DogBlog in March of 2005 and again the other day (or week) in September 2006... I think he wants to kill your bandwidth!
I dunno if you'll even see this comment as the blog entry is like a year-and-a-half old but you may have auto-email thingy set so I figured I'd reply just in case! (Or it's a surprise for if you go back through your archives one day - yay!)
So anyway (this is like two weeks ago), I came across DogBlog about 30 seconds after I clicked the link from QC (I'm on dial-up - yes, it does still exist) and started going through the archives but then went to bed so I bookmarked it for future archiving and now that I've finished reading all the DogBlog captions and viewing the pictures I figured I'd start from the start of your MainBlog archives and work my way into the present... I'm just about to clock over to April 2005 *so proud* but alas it's bed time again so I'll be bookmarking... again.

I've never heard of dogblog, or your main blog for that matter, but I was stumnling and came across dogblog and I love it!
I did a Google search for Dog Blog, and there it was. Much better than everything else that came up in the search results - I'm hooked! If you published a book, I'd buy it - and several more copies for friends. It cheers me up!

Wow, SF sure has a LOT of tied-up dogs, dunnit?! Your captions are just so amusing I can't stop reading them. Coincidentally, just today I'd tied my dog up outside of a store while grabbing some things, and couldn't help but wonder what peoples' impression of him was as they walked by. I just put "dogblog" into google as I thought that someone must have used it, and wondered what for...and found your site. Which I love! Although I've always wondered about the old "being scared scmeone may steal your dog" thing too...
I just found DogBlog on StumbledUpon, and I love it. This is going to ruin my productivity at work for several weeks.
As a slightly-obsessed Siberian Husky owner, I definitely went through your blog pics endlessly until I found a husky. Excellent.
