Yeah, I totally know what you're talking about.

Gravatar shit, man...
i have NO idea about any of those things.

Gravatar Good Korean grocery stores are hard to find in the city. There are three I go to.

Woo Ri Food Market 1528 Fillmore

First Korean Market 4625 Geary Blvd

I can't remember the name of the other but it is around Geary and 7th on the other side of the street from First Korean Market.

Gravatar Thank you, person!

I will be checking all of these locations for the best radish kimchee.

Gravatar No problem, although if you are on the peninsula or in the east bay regularly the korean food is generally better either place. Also don't believe all the people that tell you the best korean restaraunt in the city is Brother's. That is a load. So far the best right on the corner 5th and Balboa. It changed hands recently and I am confident there is a new cook (different mandu dipping sauce, different panchan, and slightly different marinades) but so far still the best.

Gravatar That's like the first thing I think about when I move anywhere -- the availability of a korean market, indian market and a middle eastern market (mexican markets, thankfully, are a dime a dozen around here). I think realtors and apartment finders should be expected to know that information.

Gravatar by the way, jon, I still feel awful about leading you to what can only be called mediocre greasy pizza in the East Village last time you were here in our fair city of gotham.

I have been hunting on and off in the months since, and already have several better prospects. There's one that, I swear, must have a grease trap like the Springfield Elementary Cafeteria...

"Augh! that's willy's retirement grease!"
