I've always heard the opposite about half-Asians---that they're the Holy Grail of babies, sought by all, because they are so much more attractive. Given that my favorite Asian actor, Russell Wong, is half-Asian, I'm going to state definitively that half-Asians are hot. Luckily for the future Algerwong babies. :-p

There are many questions that study fails to addres -- such as "how ugly are the parents?" do ugly parents treat pretty babies better then pretty parents treat pretty babies? How do gorgeous parents treat their ear-growing-out-of-forehead offspring? What's the average rate of homicide for hot versus not-hot babies?
The only question that this study DOES answer, I believe, is that YES THERE ARE UGLY BABIES. So for fucks sake, people, stop saying that every little asshole in a stroller is "adorable" mmkay? To quote the dogblog, some of your babies look like they're thinking "How did I get here? Did something POOP me out?"

Hey, now, I've met some very, very attractive people who are "half" as the Japanese put it. Had crushes on some of them even.
Then again, overall I have to agree with you that half-white/half-asian people are often damn unattractive. I haven't met enough half-black/half-asians to make a statement about that, but I would say that the half-black/half-white people I have met are, on average, better looking than the white/asian combos.
Specifically I notice a lot of black/white guys who are really hot. Also some extremely adorable babies. (my friend's year-old son just *radiates* beauty despite the fact that his parents are both just on the attractive side of average.)

After reading the comments I see I'm not the only one who thinks that half-Asian girls are generally more attractive than half-Asian guys. I've met plenty of exceptions to that though. (need to meet more exceptions to the latter, as checking out fugly half-Asian girls is not so much fun as checking out hot guys now is it.)
Then again my gauge for hotness lately is "number of gold teeth he has" so maybe I shouldn't be talkin at all. (although I don't think that number should really exceed 4 or else the relationship is reversed)
