Using a public bathroom is no issue for me, but yeah, I tend to stear clear as well if the janitor is actualy inside the bathroom when I need to use it. At least for a small office bathroom. It's definitely different if we're talking about a huge, airport bathroom with 15 stalls, 20 urinals and people walking in and out all the time anyway.
