My cell phone is for calls only. No internet connection, no picture taking, no emails. I already have an internet connection, a 35m and a digital camera.
And I'm with ya on the dropped calls.

dude, if they made signals more reliable, you wouldn't be re-dialing and therefore making ANOTHER call, would you? Dead zones = redials = mo' money
Besides, they need a mechanism for forcing atrocious media on us 24/7, right? I believe this kind of thing is society's punishment for making reality tv so goddamn huge.
for SHAME.

At one point when I was last in SF I rode in a subway car filled with people who were either on cellphones or iPods -- everyone was listening to someone not in the immediate area. The apex of this was a girl who finished talking on her cell and then popped in her earbuds.
I almost got out my cellphone just as camoflage, in case they all turned Stephen King's Cell and went feral on one another.
This V-Cast option, I think, was made for those seventeen people who not only need "My Humps" as a ringtone, but the video on demand as well. And a little life bar on the display showing how quickly the user is wasting their existence.
That said, I love my cameraphone with the gadget fetish of a teenage Japanese girl -- right down to the Mace Windu wallpaper I picked for the screen -- and I'm not giving it up anytime soon.
current music: Battle Royale ringtone
current mood: pathetic

Did you guys get the commercial where the dude had a phone with binaca in the antenna, a fork near the power coupler and a parmesan-cheese-grater in the back?
Whenever I see the SLVR or ROCKR commercials, that's what I think of. I don't mind MP3 ringtones, and I have a few, but I don't jack around with them too much. And I agree with the gadget fetish deal with the camera. Sometimes, my nice camera just wasn't meant to go the places my shitty little phone camera can.
