Where does lox spread, a.k.a. "salmon spread" stand with the Nation of Jon?
i really like apricot jam spread over cream cheese on toast or english muffin. i also really like the same combo w/ raspberry, blueberry or strawberry jams. what say you, jon, is it just a "no sweetness/fruitness w/ cream cheese" thing for you? and what about cheese cake - with fruity flavors in it - are you opposed to that too?

You call apple cinnamon a wierd flavor and yet you eat sun dried tomato cream cheese?
Those are at least two savory kind of flavors! I would probably be unopposed to smoked salmon as well.

Yes, cheesecake is definitely different from cream cheese. Though I think most cheese cakes contain cream cheese. But likely only plain.
Sir, if I may chime in from a place where all cheeses are considered good and holy, it may disturb you to find out that the French and Swiss are actually fond of using all types of cheese as carriers for jams. Furthermore, goat cheese -- with a consistency and flavor similar to cream cheese, makes a tremendous vehicle for cherry jam. Just take a morsel of cheese (no cracker needed), spread some jam on top and away you go.
How did you come to the conclusion that cheese and cream cheese were exclusively savory? What about cream cheese and a tart fruit, like cranberry?
And by the way, yeah, pineapple chive is totally fuckin' gross.
At least all nations can agree on one thing
I call your bluff on the assertion that "pineapple chive" exists. There is no way that anything that foul is real--- photographic proof is now required at this point.
