For this very reason of this post I have conditioned myself not to look down past main content on web pages, but I would optimistically vote 2b / 2c.

It's funny to think of how rude this behavior would be considered in real life -- the equivalent of watching a newscast and then barking your opinion out the nearest window at the top of your lungs.
