I'd pick random names and addresses of people in the states, or out if you can get them, and mail them, with a note saying you hope they enjoy them. Maybe a lollipop too.

I've always wondered audio tapes sound the same when on fire. If you could rescue a tape player too, you could conduct experiments. Phish bootlegs provide a perfect control, since they are mostly indistinguishable from each other.
You could go as a hippy's discarded tape collection for next Halloween.
