I'm happy too but I'm holding off on dancing.
There's not enough information on what silly adaptations got approved, and there's the scary possibility that the changes will be universally or near-universally ignored. Plus this means OCP gets to commission huge quantities of very bad musical settings of all new texts.
On the other hand, I don't think it's possible that this could be any WORSE than what we have, so maybe I should get out my dancing shoes.

Ah, but I live in a pretty good diocese, so we're all pretty sure it won't be ignored. As for the musical settings, I'm hoping that since we won't be able to use the old ones and the baby boomers in love with those crappy folk arrangements aren't really attending Mass much anymore, new ones in that style won't "stick" bec our generation won't sing them. A girl can dream!

it can always get worse...that is especially true with liturgical music...my advice is never thing that the liturgical music can't get worse.

Glad to hear you've left the liturgical dancing for others. Have you heard of the Pink Sisters?
