Good luck Donalgrant... there are a lot of us in recovery from fundamentalist upbringings! Peace!

Such foolishness. Judging pure Biblical doctrine by your own ignorance and by the actions, words, and emotions of men.

I wrote a single common on something called the Boar's Head Tavern (full of Christians like yourself) and they shut their enitre comments system down - permanently. What did I write? I suggested that once one has the foundation one needs to ...bult the house? Yes? Calvin said the same? Hebrews 6:1 if you're paying attention TELLS you this. Once you have the foundation - the 'fundamentals', if you will, whatever the state or level of awakeness and or self-awareness or coolness of the various people who call themselves fundamentalists is - once you have the foundation KEEP IT. Fool, don't abandon the foundation in a misguided need to 'find more'. The more you need has to be BUILT ON THAT FOUNDATION.

You're all so freaking dumb. I think it's because you're so in the world and so easily manipulated by the devil in the world. The accusing, the shaming, the fear-inducing based on your desires and on your own fears. No independence of mind, no strength to STAND.

Come, children, let me lead you. I will show you how to build the house you need. You must have the foundation first. Yes, five solas, doctrines of grace apostolic Biblical doctrine...

I wrote another comment to this post:

"you are all so freaking dumb" what a sad, sad "Christian" you are, obviously you have no clue about the foundations of the religion that you preach.

Thivai, Americans talk like that, like verbally hitting someone in the side of their head with a frying pan. That type of thing. Anyway, fake, surface niceties are OK in society but they don't necessarily reflect any real spiritual development within.

Hell is a metaphor of course, but C.S.Lewis give what I find as a vivid portrait in The Great Divorce. "Those in hell are only those who choose it." (no cutoff).

I don't think Lewis quite achieved MacDonald's firm conviction of universalism, but he must have wondered.

Take the fun out of mental.
