I've not seen this movie but agree with you 100% about "Because I Said So" - the only thing worthy of that movie is getting to look at Gabriel Macht. After IMDBing this movie I am left wondering why Diane Keaton has never married (assuming her bio is up to snuff)...anywho no children either...is she a lesbo...have I missed something? Very possible considering that when Rosie announced she played on the pink team I was shocked and all my friends chuckled at me because I spend time in my worky day reading blogs and how could I have NOT known...well I tell you...I just didn't give a rats ass to read any posts about her so I gazed on by her fat ass.
I'm nervous about talking my boyfriend into watching 1408. I've done a horrible job of picking out our last few rentals (i.e. Because I Said So, and The Last Kiss). But thankfully our love lasted through those horrible choices and will most likely stand the test of 1408 if I decide we will watch it.
Princess- I'd say it's a safe rental/movie to be stolen from the internet. It was a GOOD movie, in a way that only a "guy acting the majority of the movie all by himself" can be. There was tons of creepy imagery and the never fail creepy kid to round it all out. It could have been better, for sure, but for what it was it could have also been SO much worse. As a rule, watch anything with Sam Jackson and you're okay.
(The Last Kiss came on my recommendation, too...have yet to live it down)
Are you suggesting that I rent "Snakes on the Plane" per your Sam Jacson rule? I haven't seen that one either but it just sounds dumb...and since I am catching a flight in 2 hours I really don't need the thought of snakes on a plane anyway. I digress...I will take said advice and get 1408 for me and my boyfriend to watch.
