I saw Broooooce in the summer 1974 at Bucknell University. He played for four hours. I bought Born To Run because Jon Landau said Bruce Springsteen was the Savior of Rock And Roll.
The concert was boring. It sounded like circus music instead of rock and roll to me. Clarence played the same damn sax solo on every single song. I listened to Born To Run once and traded it for Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith.
I like the idea of Bruce Springsteen, but I never liked his music. I feel like a blasphemer whenever I say that, but it's the truth.
Sorry.

I feel the same way about Stevie Wonder. I know I'm supposed to like him...but I just don't. At all.

I took my dad to see Bruce and the E Street Band in 2000 as a repayment for years of New Kids and Warrant and Jackyl and Aerosmith concerts he took me to.
4 hours of the best damn concert I have ever seen. Worth every penny and so much more.
And this song makes me smile and feel happy whenever I listen to it.
