Doug,
I am from South Dakota and I also hope former(thank God)Senator Daschle does run for the 2008 presidency. It will make McGovern feel better about himself since I don't see Daschle even carrying the District of Columbia.

Absolutely correct! Daschle's sales pitch will be "From the party that brought you Walter Mondale..."

Mondale will only be a viable canidate for the Dems until the find someone who is more insane, and/or a bigger sissy.

At least the citizens of SD won't have to support him to get rid of him as so many Arkansans did to get rid of Bill Clinton.

Hmmmm. Democratic Singles Network.
First, I find it ironic that the "couple" they show is so strongly hetro-normative. I'd think that would be pretty repulsive to most of their base. Second, I think their definition of 'liberal' needs a little work. It says that they're "tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others" Yeah. Right. I guess they never met a liberal.

Ha! That's rich, ain't it? Yeah, I saw some of those "tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others" this morning, trying to block people from getting into a Walmart.
If they get any more tolerant of us, we won't be able to leave home.
