Sheesh, you need toilet paper when you visit someone else? I'm SO glad you've never visited here, ya big diva.

I hate to go places with no toilet. During both evacuations we were stuck in our truck with no hope for a toilet....yeah it sucked.
At least people are only washing their feet with your face washcloth.....

Assalamu Aleikum wa R wa B,
Yep, been there. 10-12 people in the house for 3 weeks. I was once in my husband's uncle's house for 2 weeks where we were 11 people and ONE bathroom. There are soooo many stories to tell about THAT trip alone. I remember my father-in-law told me that I couldn't shower in the morning because there were too many people that needed to go to the bathroom in the morning. I won't go there right now.
SInce I've been married,we always had a guest room. I thought it was soo strange at first. We were still students and had a three bedroom apartment because our families would visit us. Alhamdullilah. I am grateful to have been able to have the opportunity to be able to give others their own room while visiting.
I get ya. I am fairly easy when family or friends are over. I don't like it when people don't try to offer a helping hand, though. More than likely I will say no, thanks (except cooking, they can take over that duty anytime and my mom-in-law cooks and my mom cooks for me and my husband too, Alhamdulillah) but don't EXPECT to be waited hand and foot without at least trying to pretend that you want to help. Pretend is enough for me.
I also do not do breakfast. I will offer everything in my fridge to you for breakfast and lunch. I might even reheat leftovers for lunch. And I will probably almost always have dinner ready on time (even if my mom or mother-in-law cooked it-hee hee) but don't ask me to be in the kitchen the whole day.
Also, while at my house, you are free to do as you please. I don't have strict routines. SO, I'm game to do stuff with my guests, go out with them, talk a walk, stay in, tend to their guests if they have, etc.
I also am polite about sleeptime. I go to sleep late, but I respect and give others their quiet at whatever time they go to bed.
Phew,I could go on, but it's your blog and I don't want to become tiresome.
Cool post. I read it last night and really enjoyed it. I just had about 20 sisters and their kids over today and it reminded me of this post.
