I don't really like any of those pre-mixed spices. I like to mix and match my own. But I know many people who rely on Shan's for everything they cook.

I have had good luck with the shan, especially for making chicken Makhni... (makhni was my main reason for going to indian buffet)... but I had to learn the hard way that you don't use the entire package unless you are cooking for an army.
