It turns out Bradley missed third and had to return to tag up. Now tell me how the guy on 2nd misses 3rd on his way in to score on a booming double. *sigh*
I can't believe Hargrove walked "Mr. 0 for 2006" Dan Johnson to get to "Mr. Clutch" Marco Scutaro. I don't give a crap about L-R vs. R-R matchups-- didn't the Mariners have advanced scouts at the Yankees/A's games?

I hear that. I hate Marco Scutaro, if only because he doesn't play for my team. I think it's him and Chone Figgins (who Michael Kay still insists on calling "Chone" instead of "Sean") who I hate to see most at the plate. Bring on Ortiz any day.
Also, if the Phils can't win a game by the end of the weekend, I totally quit baseball.

Why does it not surprise me that Bloomquist's favorite band is AC/DC?
Have fun at the book club. Wish I could make it.

Also, nobody had K signs out for Felix today, at least none that I could see.
Well, there ya go, then. THAT's what the problem was! Felix forgot what he was s'posed to do, due to a lack of communication between the various folks who run the "K's for Felix" signage...
That and the curse of the Bloomquist. I hereby declare that we call an immediate gathering of M's bloggers across the country to ceremoniously burn the official Willie Bloomquist Practice Ball at the next USSM gathering, or the book club, whichever one I can attend next (can't make it tonight, of course).

(thanks Hal, fixed)
I'd be more than happy to make big K signs, but I won't be in town for either of Felix's theoretical next home starts -- the 18th against Texas and the 23rd against Detroit -- so someone else will have to pick up the slack. I was seriously surprised none of last year's groups were out though, given that one game had like 5 separate ones.
YOU CAN'T BURN MY BASEBALL :(
AAAAAARGH the Phillies got rained out today so we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out if they can possibly win a game. At least they'll have two chances. Meanwhile, the Pirates just lost their game against the Reds 11-9 to now be 0-6. Gaaaahhhhh. Damn you, Oliver Perez.

We decided to retire the KKKKKING signs at the end of last season; I moved across the country and everyone was getting too busy to go to every single Felix game for an entire season. I was disappointed not to see at least the "Que"s or Ks with crowns. If things get bad I'll fly back there myself.
You'd think the new commercial would be enough to cover him, though!
Nice job on the ball, despite the source.
