Fabulous post and great pictures.
That was a fantastic game - better than Friday or Sunday because of the close score, the late, stupid run given up, the bottom of the eighth redemption rally and the sheer awesomeness of Putz striking out the side.
Thanks to yet another train blocking east marginal way we missed the first inning, i.e. most of Gil's 97 mph heat. Honestly, he's about as frustrating a pitcher as there is. Tantalizingly good at times and disappointly awful at others.

So you want to replace Bob Finnigan as the M's beat writer do you now. *lol
One of the things I liked about the sweep of the Bosox was that I grew up in southern California and it always irked me that when the Sox were in town most of the fans at Anaheim Stadium seemed to be rooting for Boston. So while I by no means hate the Red Sox I got quite a bit of visceral satisfaction out of the M's taking it to them.
