LOVE the LOL Mariners! I hope you saw the LOL Yankees linked from MG.
Many years ago, I'm talking Kingdome days, my friend Terri and I decided our obligatory crush would be Joey Cora. But his ears were even bigger than Jorge Posada's are now.
And dear lord but I hate Victor Diaz. Or at least hated him when he was parked in our RF taking a snooze every time a ball came his way.
hahaha. No, I haven't been very good at keeping up with blogs this last week and now I am getting back on track and ARGH what do you mean Bat-Girl is shutting down her site but anyway, yes, now I saw the LOLYankees. Pretty awesome.
Actually I was kind of thinking of that when I realized Diaz came from the Mets (I had for some reason thought he was a slightly different, suckier Diaz, because I occasionally have name problems like that). I dunno about his fielding, but man, he can smoke a ball sometimes. I can't stress how impressive that concourse shot really was to me. Some people like to watch Mark Teixeira hit a home run approximately 5 miles, but me, I'm like "dude, how did it GET in there?"
That is a terrific picture of Betancourt.
Diaz can smoke a ball, that's what my other half continually reminds me, but I can remember one game where we were sitting in the first row of the upper deck in the far corner of the outfield, like, we could look straight down into the bullpen almost, and Victor Diaz was like Charlie Brown trying to catch the ball.
Wait. At least Charlie Brown tried.
That's probably not fair, though.
