Excellent report on the Searex game Deanna. You were totally right about minor league games being a blast as I went to my first one at Yokosuka Stadium a week ago and absolutely loved every second of it. I also was like a kid in a candy shop collecting signatures. And YES, I did manage to stalk Iriki and I got his signature. Westbay was right, he is a very nice guy and I found his accent to be cute (sorry but that's how it came across to me as). Seems like Iriki has an itch to go back to the Majors next year from the short conversation I had with him.

Thanks! It was fun. I'd go to the Marines-Shonan ni-gun game again on the 14th, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna head down to Yokohama itself instead. We'll see what happens.
And you were super-lucky to get to see Kimiyasu Kudoh at your minor-league game... you didn't mention that :P
Argh... I guess I should be more active about trying to get signatures but usually I have to head back to work after most games including this one plus I don't really know what to get signed. I kind of really want to stalk Atori and Takamori now though :)
Your totally right, I did see Kudoh pitch and it was really great to see him pitch again this year. It's always a pleasure. My bad for forgetting, things always slip my mind when I actually write about my experiences (that's probably why I never do it..heh heh).
Oh, speaking of minor league games, there's a makeup game between Searex and Yomiuri on the 23rd of September. It's on the national holiday after your game at Koshien so I'm just throwing it out there. The game is actually in Numazu, Shizuoka-Ken which is on the way home. I'll be heading down there after work on the 22nd and staying the night there. Then heading home on the 23rd after the game. It's a day game starting at 1:00pm too. So, if you do decide to go, let me know. I already bought a ticket and booked a hotel, so it's a done deal for me. Here's a link with the info:
