Gravatar Chris, first I'd like to say thank you for your service to our country. Thank you for giving that Iraqi soldier the things he needs to do his job. Thank you for your courage and strength to do the job you do.

Those pictures really touched my heart. The first one is a reminder of the elections and how awesome that day was.

The one with the Iraqi soldier touches me b/c you can see the caring in the gentle hug of the soldier.

That last picture just reached out and grabbed my heart. The look on her face just speaks volumes. There is no way I could look into her eyes and tell her that her life and freedoms are not important.

We need to stay the course and get the job done. This woman of Polish descent (loud, opinionated women LOL) would not do well under Caliphate rule.

I support our troops AND their mission!!

Gravatar Chris, Thank you, God Bless you and keep you safe. I've been thinking a lot about this and I am wondering if the "cut and run mentality" comes from apathy and a lack of imagination. Apathy in having so much, so easily, for so long and a lack of imagination...that all we have now, this grand life in America that they so despise...could be *gone*. I don't think most people can imagine that.

I'm with Tracy...I'm not ready for a burka...support the troops and their mission.

Gravatar Yup me too Chris. I support you all 110%

Thank you....

Gravatar Chris ~ That was beautiful! Thank you.

Gravatar Well said... ((hugs)) thank you for your service... we are proud of you.

Gravatar Outstanding pics, keep 'em coming and keep up the good work. MUSTANGS!!

Gravatar God bless you Chris. Thank you for all you are doing. I think one of the reasons the "cut and run" cough.. "peace" crowd are having a hard time right now, is exactly what you have said, they have no definition of peace. As you have described so well, peace is NOT the absence of war. I believe that is why we are hearing such lashing out by them. They are being called on it.

You all stay on your mission and take care! Thank you all! We will keep rolling here at home.

Gravatar Chris: Thank you....thank you. Yes, to me it really IS that basic. All about the kids - always.

Usual brat orders for you..^j^

Gravatar Thank You everyone, but it is you that needs praise, not I. You who offer support, do so much to raise our spirits and get the truth out.

A little update. The last picture of the little girl is more than just a photo.

The girl is a Kurd, living just north of Baghdad. Her family was brutalized by Saddam and his goons for years. When the coalition liberated Iraq, she had nothing. No food, no medicine, no schools, no real clothes.

That changed with the arrival of the US "Baby killers" (who of course do nothing of the sort). We gave her clothes, rebuilt homes, rebuilt (or in many cases built) utilities, built schools, patrolled the roads, gave our lives.

She is now free and doing well from what I hear. Someone who saw her recently saw the picture I printed out and told me so.

I printed out this picture with the caption "What did you do to keep her free and safe today?". It hangs on my wall with a little piece of 100mph tape.

I do my best to look into her eyes and answer that question every day.

Gravatar Having a hard time with my computer, will try this again.

Chris ~ I have shared your post with several people. I have been asked to contact you and see if you would mind if this is sent on to each State Representative? If so, would you prefer to remain anon, or would you like proper credit?

Thank you again!
Brat and Tracy have my email addy if you want more details

Gravatar In my humble opinion: anyone who looks into ANY child's eyes cannot just turn away and say "not my concern"... That you all - Chris, MG, Cav and all the soldiers known and unknown to me - make these precious little people's lives better day by day, means the world to them, and ME! Keeps me going in the battles I wage here on the homefront. Thank you.

And yes PCMom...passed your email on to Chris.....

Gravatar PC Mom,

They can know I am Chris and an Army Officer. That should be enough.

Please send it though

Gravatar Thanks Chris... I am on it!

Gravatar Great post. I've quoted you and linked to you here: http://consul-at-arms.blogspot.c...re-my- iraq.html

Gravatar Thank you Chris - to all of you brave hearts who understand and answer the call...not just the call to service from our beloved country, but the call to help the helpless, brutalized victims of the world. You are our heroes - and theirs.
God bless you all.
Dina Katkansky

Gravatar Chris, you have no idea how much I needed to read that, especially today - thank you for this and all that you are doing and have done.
I linked to this at my place.
It's soothing my hurtin' heart ~ God Bless you!!

Gravatar I just realized that spell check is great and all, but it does not catch the absolute wrong word when used...

Sorry, I had just gotten off a patrol and was tired.

Gravatar What an inspiring message. It should be read to the US Congress and all of the liberal press. No administration should send our military into battle w/o a plan. Not achieving UNCONDITIONAL VICTORY shows our enemy that we don't have the will to win. And, it is demoralizing to our military. My hopes and prayers are w/ all of our military and their families. I hope that the adminstration and Congress can make a plan that works better so that all of your sacrifices won't be in vain.

Gravatar "...Always with the negative waves, Moriarty"

Look, Al... there were so many double negatives in that last comment, I am still trying to figure out what the hell you mean.

"Not achieving UNCONDITIONAL VICTORY shows our enemy that we don't have the will to win."

So let me get this straight: not winning shows the enemy that we lack the will to win?

Gravatar Chris,

I echo the comments about from people like Tracy, PCMom, Donna, yankeemom, etc so I won't repeat.

What I'd like to know is how (OK gang - this is rhetorical so don't start in on me!) all those peace loving lunatics CAN look at your photos and the THOUSANDS of more you guys/gals have sent back here to us and NOT want to help the children and ALL of the innocent victims of tyrannical rule and terrorism? When I think of organizations like Code Pink (yes I'll go wash my hands for even typing that) making contributions to terrorist organizations in the name of PEACE and AGAINST what you guys are going it is TRULY beyond me that they are allowed to get away with that.

I honestly DO drop to my knees EVERY night to thank GOD for all of you guys. No one support YOU and your MISSION more than I - many do as much, of course. That doesn't make me a special person. It makes me human.

Hmmm, peace-humanity-freedom, my dictionary doesn't give each of those multiple definitions. I often wonder what dictionary the "other side" is using when they turn their backs on you all and the necessary mission you all are so valiantly undertaking and achieving.

Godspeed to all of you. You ARE succeeding and WILL be victorious Chris.
