I find this so incredibly sad, I pray for closure - one way or the other - for his family.
But they work they have been inspired to do is also truly amazing. What wonderful people!!

Great write up Tracy. We've got a story up at ASM as well about Matt and what activities are being planned in his honor in the next week.

Thank you to Cindy and Terry for reminding us about SSG Maupin. I admire his family and community for continuing to support our military as they are doing while waiting to hear that he has been found.
I will say an extra prayer for Matt and his family today.

I agree, Aussie, I pray for closure one way or the other. The family needs to know.
But like you and Leta mentioned, the work this family is doing while they wait is amazing and inspiring.

As a local resident... THANK YOU. I wrote about it too, but you get a LOT more traffic than I do. Melissa and I will be attending the fundraiser tonight. Please, if you can, donate to the scholarship fund or to Yellow Ribbon, Matt's parents' charity.

I didn't see anything on the national news about this. I haven't been watching the news channels but I doubt there was anything there either.

I remembered too... I miss him, even though I never met him. He belongs to us and we want him back. I will never forget.
