Great article. Your wisdom is beyond measure.
While General Petraeus was being drilled by our Politicans, all I could think of was "You idiots" don't you even read the news before asking such stupid question"?
The General is my Hero for sure. A man of integrity and a man who loves his Country.
I look forward everday to reading your post.

I have to second your choices, and General Petraeus is the definition of grace under fire. He came through his trials and tribulations this year with the grace of a saint, the fortitude of a warrior and the leadership presentation of an awesome General.

And the congregation said, "AMEN!"
Thank you for writing this inspirational and REAL post Brat. You know how I feel about CG Petraeus so I won't extol again here. He, General Hillier and the children of Iraq and Afghanistan along with all of our coalition forces - yep - they all get my vote for man/woman/child of the year.
Good on ya friend!

Here-here!or is it hear-hear? At any rate, I regularly e-mail the mental giants who represent the great State of Indiana. Nobody in D.C. represents many of us anymore. I think of the generals who are bad-mouthing our efforts and wonder what they would do to someone in their own command doing such a thing. I also wonder what they have been promised. Too many of the officerss under Clinton were political hacks rather than soldiers that it will take years for them to clear out. I am glad we have had the choices for leadership in the last few years that stand for the men in the uniforms, on the posts, and at war. Thank God for your chosen heroes.
