I've been thinking about doing a turbo vs. regular post lately, but haven't gotten around to it. Being a working family man I don't have mucho time to play poker throughout the week. When I do play I like to get as much in as I can. Turbos have been my answer.
About a 1/3 of the players in your typical turbo SNG believe it is a crapshoot and either go all-in or call an all-in with a mediocre hand. I can't tell you how often there are 2 players out within the first five hands. When that happens you have less players to fight through to get ITM. I think your game could handle it cause you are already playing a patient/tight game. In the turbos, let them donk their chips off and get knocked out while you move closer to the money. Since that is what you do already, being in a turbo just gets you to the bubble spot a bit quicker. I see the good and bad, but I have done quite well with them.
I did a 6-max turbo SNG challenge a while back and killed it. Imagine only having to get through 4 other people to get ITM. Now imagine 2 of those 4 people regularly pushing with mediocre hands cause they think it is a crapshoot. It is gold.
Sorry this was so long...

yeah sorry about that....He is a fairly new player. He has only been playing for a few months and really doesnt have a full understanding of whats what. He folded QQ to my A9 suited when I moved in a little bit earlier. I was shorstacked but he shouldve insta-called that. nonetheless best of luck on the sngs
