Gravatar Looks like a lot of bad luck with coordinated boards.

One thing on that first hand you do know you played it poorly but in this case it was a good thing as it saved you money.

you had top boat - bet that thing!

Hand #2 - again weak - raise the flop! Don't call - see what he really has. If he comes back with a reraise - get out.

Hand #3 AA - yea - that happned to me last night also - SBB - Standard Bet Beat

Hand #4 - same as #3 SBB

Hand #5 - REAL bad play by MR_WOLFF - but you played it pretty poorly also.

You have a set - raise until there is no tomorrow.

Yea- you have some real bad luck but your and your weakish play saved you $$ THIS TIME.

I see why your Aggression numbers are so low.

Trust me - All of these beats will come to an end they are not why you are -6BB/100. The reason is that you play follow the leader and never want to take the lead.

Beats happen but it's the times you win that you are losing the real money.

I HOPE you are taking this as constructive and not insulting.

Gravatar "i see why your aggression numbers are so low"

my agg #'s for the past 1200 hands are

Preflop :: 1.17
Flop :: 2.48
Turn :: 3.14
River :: 1.15

PFR's 9.87

The beats chronicled were in THOSE last 1200 hands. I'm not playing weak. My river numbers are low...but the river has been unkind to me.

You take 1 hand as a prototypical play for the rest of my OTHER hands, which is simply not the case. I don't play a rote game...( I don't read from a chart as you insinuated in your earlier response.) I deal with each case as it arises and play as best as I can.

You also seem unable to fathom 25k hand downswings from running bad as a genuine possibility. (Kudos to you for not experiencing one yourself.) Perhaps a missed a bet here or there...but these beats have been constant and common throughout this past run. I can't beat lady luck, no matter how aggressive I get.

Lastly...look at some of these other hands...it's not that I'm devoid of aggression...I just apply it in different spots than you.

Consider this hand

or this one...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?407187

Also some of your points go AGAINST things written on your own site. For instance you have a chart of #'s for winning players...and many of them line up almost exactly with my numbers. Consider "fold to river bet." You commented about my folding to river bets too much...and yet I'm calling river bets MORE than the stats on your very own website of players with 1.5/100 winrates.

I'm starting to remember why I don't post on 2+2.

I'll have a "for the record" post up shortly...showing my current numbers as I play. My VPIP and PFR were lower than what they actually are because for the first few thousand hands I was getting used to limit holdem again. But I don't play that style as much as you'd LOVE to think.

As for my "weak play" of the set of 5's vs the set of A's. I put in the last raise on the turn (and got smooth called...cant put in any more raises after that now can i?) And the river was capped. I really have no idea what the fuck you are talking about except perhaps smooth calling with the set on the flop. (After 2 bets were already in.) I really don't see a problem with that...am I trying hard to give away my hand or something?

Gravatar I was looking at the flop action - you should really press it to shake the monkeys on the flop with a set.

As for Current numbers - YES - I always say never look at the last year of numbers because people change.

As for the 2+2 comment! LOL - I hear ya!

When I saw your Agg Numbers it included the pre flop which swayed my opinion because they are normally not included. Your aggression looks fine (a tad hight actually but we won;t go THERE )

See my comment about those 1/5 players - why ever try to compare to them as they are not THAT great!

BTW - calm down!

Gravatar well thank you for being diplomatic.

BTW - its very hard to stay calm in the midst of a run like this...VERY hard.

::

i would kill to be winning at 1.5/100 let alone 2.5. since you've been playing for so long, can i ask what your longest losing streak was? just curiosity.

::

lastly...not to beat a dead horse, but that set of 5's hand. i do normally press sets...but there were only 2 other players in the pot...and i know both of their play very well. there were no clowns in the pot so i wasnt worried about a draw in the least.

well thats all. ty for not fanning flames. i get riled up easily sometimes.
