I will admit that luck is a factor in poker in the shortterm, but many times people blame their misfortune solely on this without analyzing other factors that may have caused or contributed to this downfall. That is not what people should be doing if their hopes are to improve.
i realize that your overall point was that, for the most part, people are not losing cause of bad luck. and that, even if they are, its not beneficial to wallow in it. and youre absolutely right.
i was just pointing out how running cold, or running hot can cause people to talk so vastly different about the luck factor; and that you never really know when someone else is genuinely losing for a long long time because of bad luck. some people are, its a mathematical certainty.
