Viewing your photos every morning has also become an essential part of my day. I think today's photo is very interesting because of the intensity of color. I believe the sky and the reflection in the water on January 1 had a very warm glow. Today's photo has some of those same elements but with a more intense glow as well as the introduction of blues.

I believe the impressionists did something similar - intense observation of nature/an image; studying the light and how the light changed over time. This is a wonderful study of light and reflection from a room with a view! Thanks so much for doing it.
