Hi Cheryl. I an just watching this series for the first time. Found your blog & this post. In New Zealand supervision and personal therapy are mandatory for psychotherapists. I cringed a bit at the quality of this session with Gina, but it is only TV, it is not a bad go at portrayal of the process.

Welcome, Walter! There is talk about making personal therapy mandatory here and there in the US, but I'm not sure it would help a lot. I wrote about that issue recently.
