Gravatar I am writing a paper attempting to absolve Medea of her crimes and prove her innocence based on insanity. If she fits the diagnosis of BPD, would this be grounds for her to plead insanity? Are there any other recognizable disorders that might solidify this case?


Gravatar The biggest problem is that she was not insane. You have to look at her in the context of *her* culture and what she did was, in her terms, logical. It is also important to remember she is not a human, but an immortal, granddaughter of a god. Note that in the play she is not punished.
