Cheryl,
Your earlier set of pictures helped me tremendously. I was having difficulty getting size eight seed beads onto Sea Silk. The yarn was shredding with a size 14 crochet hook. Things were not much better with a size 16. The inner core of the sea silk was bright white and the crochet hook was causing shredding and separation of the fibers. It looked awful, plus it was destructive to the fiber. I then tried Delica beads because the opening was larger. After four repeats, I just could not talk myself into liking them. They were just too large and very, very heavy. I started again, this time with the dental floss and size eight beads. I love it now and the dental floss has ensured that the yarn is not shredded, separated or damaged in any way. Thanks so much for sharing these pictures as well as your earlier ones as it has made all the difference in the world. Knowing that I can put size eight beads on sea silk makes me love it even more - I have ordered several more colorways.

The finer the yarn, the smaller the bead. On regular lace weight -- like Zephyr for example -- I use 8/0 beads. On finer yarns I use 11/0 beads. Stashing beads becomes addictive as stashing yarn!
Glad the photos helped!

Thanks for posting this...I was wondering how you managed all the beads. I have quite a large bead stash that I am looking forward to using...when I eventually figure out how to do the lace knitting part!
