You hit it on the head, we're losing basic intelligence, and I wonder all the time, what would Fromme think, what would Laing, Horney, Freud, all the masters think about what's going on here? Best to hope that philosophers, mh professionals and social science academics get hip to the long arm of biopsychiatry, and fight to reclaim their hard-won epistemological territory.
Anyway, just passing through from furious seasons link and reading the front page, I agree with him, this is a special place.
