Oh wait, are you suggesting that killing other people, for whatever reason, causes severe emotional distress? and even, being in a combat zone where at any moment it is more likely than not you will die by being blown to bits, while you see others who have died this way around you almost constantly, could have a detrimental effect on mental health? Come on, thanks to the loving folks at NAMI and APA and APA and even dear old SAMSHA that sucide is caused by a chemical imbalance, and the "balanced" soldiers, whether balanced by superior genes or 'better living through chemistry" are the sane ones.
