I understand your husband's feeling of excitement... and I *have* been in bad hurricanes. I lived in Texas on the Gulf coast as a child and I was there when Hurricane Camille destroyed half the town.
There's just something about the power and majesty of nature in a big storm like that. You don't want anyone to get hurt, but it still moves you so...
