Make sure the beading isn't too heavy. Otherwise it weighs the piece down and it closes up.
For Morocco I went down a size to #8 seed beads, made sure the fringe was as short as looked decent, and spaced them further apart.

I usually use 8/0 seed beads, which are pretty small. I have to look carefully at the pattern to see where I'll place them too. The trick is using enough to add some weight without going too far. This yarn is so light -- it's like a cloud really. Zephyr feels heavy by comparison!
