Cheryl, it is beautiful! The single apple on the tree makes me smile. Is this a stole where the tree will be sideways while wearing it, or is it a shawl where the tree will be upright?

I can go ahead and test knit for you as long as you don't need it finished until Nov. 15th. Just let me know.

Okay, I went back through your blog and see it is a stole with the tree sideways, which is beautiful; but how difficult would it be to design the tree to be upright when the stole is worn? Just Curious.

I think it would be really difficult to make the tree upright in the center. An alternate way of doing the stole would be to put the center motif at each end of the stole.

Just wanted to say...hadn't stopped here since the In Treatment discussions and so I thought I would. Your region looks so beautiful right now with the seasons changing. And your knitting is incredible. I have lots of books and needles and no one to show me how (the photos in those books make my fingers confused!) Thanks for sharing your work and photos. (Cute kitty!)
