I loved your comment on getting glasses at the age of nine and "seeing individual leaves on trees". That was exactly my experience at the same age, and I have never heard anyone else describe it this way. I grew up in Maine, not far inland from Belfast. Seeing your daily picture is a comfort to me. I was 10 and my parents had lollygagged over a year in taking me to the eye doctor, who pronounced my vision 20/200. There was a tree right outside the doctor's office and I remember telling my mother I could see the individual leaves and how beautiful they were!
