On a macro level, isn't it interesting how the pendulum swings. We have gone from insight to a medical model and now are seeing the flaws in the medical model and looking again to the soul for healing. Huzzah!
On a personal level, thank you for this! You just reminded me of the big picture - why I am struggling through anatomy & physiology as the last prerequisite before applying to an MSW program. My psychology professors are trained in the CBT and meds model but I smile indulgently and keep the faith nonetheless.
I certainly hope we swing back but it will be a tough struggle as the forces that foster the current model will not yield easily.
