you guys are sick... Agree with you on Kendrick and too much Waltah, but Marcus Banks isn't THAT bad.

Interesting post. Do you plan on doing these for every game? Do you plan on picking a player regardless of team to be player of the game? I hate when people just look at the box score and pick the best Celtic even when the team losses. Some jerk on another blog had the gall to pick Pierce as the player of the game last night. Stupid.

Very original, keep it up!

I endorse this Blog! You two crazies bring a
refreshing, no holds barred, innate approach to Celtics critiquing that far outshines other lesser lights on the Internet. If you want robotic pablum, read the other blogs and news groups, but for cutting edge commentary, this is the place to be.

Here's Chad Ford on the Celtics most recent draft
picks. . .
JSC (Boston): Hi Chad...have you had a chance to see either of the Celtics rookies in action? (Tony Allen, Al Jefferson) If so, any thoughts on either of the two to this point in the season?

Chad Ford: I got quite a few complaints from Celtics fans when I put the Celtics in the "bad" category when reviewing their last two drafts. Everyone quickly jumped, in particular to Al Jefferson's defense. But let me say again, and I'm quoting my Monday article here -- "The Celtics do have players with upside. Al Jefferson, in particular, looks like he could become a solid low post scorer and rebounder, a la Zach Randolph, somewhere d

Thanks Ray! We had tired of some of the more “safe” blogs and boards. Glad you enjoyed what we have offered and we hope to give you something interesting about the C’s everyday.
Regarding the Ford article and chat, the big problem I have with his analysis is that it’s not like the Celtics had 2 or 3 lottery picks the last two years. Essentially Danny has had two 15s and three late first-rounders. Now, the Banks pick is a bust. But it certainly seems as if the 3 late first rounders could be solid players (one could be great), and this year’s 15 is a steal.

Walter is the problem! He doesn't play and we blow teams out by 20. If he must be on the court, let him be the mascot or ball boy. All of his minutes should be split up between kendrick, Big Al, and T. Allen. Even Justin Reed would make better use of that time. What the hell is Doc thinking for giving Walter significant minutes all the time. I just don't get it. Walter would be more valuable to the local boys and girls club...not on a professional sports team.

Too much Waltah is right. No rebounding, ill-advised 3's, and godawful man-to-man defense. Ever notice how Waltah tries to protect himself from fouling guys when they go to the rim on him? It's like he thinks he's Tim Duncan and he can't afford to get in foul trouble. Outside of being Jiri's only friend on the team, he serves no role. I remember a couple years ago after we lost a close game to the Knicks, he ran over and joined a prayer circle with his old Knick-buddies on the court. What a competitor! Fuck you. Pray to be traded. Death to the UofK bullshit!

It's plain insanity to rag on Pierce. C'mon, yes he's not playing up to his potential. We all know that, but who else on the team can have his numbers? Ricky plays almost as many minutes, plus he's with the second unit, playing against second rate defense, and all he can do is score. Pierce is unique because he's a well rounded player. Points, rebounds, assists, defense, clutch shooting (when he wants to), steals, free throws..on and on. No one else on the C's can do all that with the same minutes. Pierce is the best player on the celtics, he's just pissed that the team sucks. If it weren't for Payton, the C's would be totally lost and fighting for fist pick overall in a few months.

Personally, I think Pierce wants to play subpar and get traded, but his competitiveness sometimes gets the better of him. He just can't dog it like Vince to get traded.

“I think Pierce wants to play subpar and get traded”

But, “It's plain insanity to rag on Pierce.”

Huh?

Explain to me how those two views work together.
