I actually like having him and Jiri on the floor at the same time. Assuming GP is traded and (god help us) Banks starts, the second unit is going to be RD, JW, DW, KP and eventually AJ. That team is probably better than the starters. |

Nice comments, and great write up! Davis is a great player, and will thrive playing around a star that demands a double team. One more point is that for NBA salaries this guy is a steal!! You can get three and third Ricky's for one Pierce. I would make that trade all day long. You can get almost five Rickys for one Zydranus Ilgauskas (whose name I just butchered), or an amazing 7 Rickys for 1 Shaq. |
That's great, 7 Rickys for one Shaq. Yeah, he's an absolute steal. Cleveland obviously saw something in him to give him a six-year contract, but than traded him the next year when Lebron came in. Just think, they got NOTHING for him. None of the players are still with the team, which is maybe what they wanted. |
It's the Perfect Time to trade Ricky. |
nothing written when Pierce bangs out a triple double? surely you can find a way to put him down, no? maybe you could question his posture, or the way he ties his shoelaces, perhaps you don't like his grammer? where's the fastball? |

Kittles is a hundred years old and couldn't beat me one on one. Ray, you are far from a basketball fan. We are trying to build a young franchise and create a championship team, Kittles is trying to have grandkids with those knees of his. How many DNP's has he recorded this season? 20? 25? Out of forty games? Yeah... I would love to sign him, maybe after that we can trade Al, Pierce, and Tony away for a bag of nickels and a Philipino sweat shop worker. |
hey willie, as I mentioned yesterday, I was at the UConn game last night and couldn't do a recap. PO's home with a sick kid, maybe he'll post something later. I wish I'd seen it last night. |
Oh, c'mon, as Celts fans everyone must of enjoyed the pounding the C's gave to NJ. It was great to see Pierce playing like he cared. PP loves destroying "half man, half amazing, but no D" Carter. I love seeing Kidd and company get wiped. You know in the end it will either be NJ or the C's making the play-offs. I bet Pierce would average a triple every night if he were playing NJ every night. lol That's why I wouldn't trade Pierce. I thinks he's just dog'n it this year because he (like the rest of us) is just waiting for Danny to blow the team up and sink us into lottery land before feb 24th. I'm a 100% sure that if PP gets traded anytime soon, we'll all be saying "why didn't he play like that for us last year?" |
I would trade GP to Phoenix (exactly what they need, a back up for Nash and good situation for GP) for Chicago's first round pick owned by Phoenix for L Deng. Then I'd trade Blount and Stewart to Toronto for disgruntled Rafer Alston and a first round pick. Toronto needs a legit center to play Chris Bosh at PF and we'd need a decent PG to replace losing GP. |
Great, and I would trade McCarty to Cleveland for LeBron James, the salaries match up. Unfortunately the talent level DOESN"T!!!! That is the critical party in trading people. Oh well.... |
Can we still swear on this site? |
Fuck yeah you can swear. I've been very sick the last several days, and therefore out of commission. Pierce did play great on Wed. He played like shit last night, though, big Willy. Just the fact that you think he's dogging it, Enjoy, should make you want him traded. I hope he doesn't make the All-Star team, his head needs a little shrinking. |
Nice... Thanks for the heads up! |
I guess business isn't good of late eh? What with Pierce playing so well and all... I guess when you lay all your eggs in one basket you're bound to run into some trouble. Good luck! |
I'm glad last Sunday, old man Payton proved he's not as wash up as Sam Cassel and Latrell. PP should learn from Gaqrnett's example - play hard even when everyone else sucks on your team, and management is out to screw you. You got a job to do, you get paid, so even if work sucks, you should work you ass off, damn it. |
If you consider his recent play 'so well,' you really don't know much about basketball, willie. |
