I like how Doc said he went with his gut with West. Really.

Your 85 year old point guard has played 10 straight minutes and very obviously needs a rest, your backup played three of the worst minutes in the history of organized basketball, and your talented rookie is itching to make a contribution.

Way to go out on a limb, coach.

hahaha, yeah, Doc definitely went to the Rick Pitino school of public relations. Think he has a copy of "Success is a Choice" in his library?

you guys sound like a bunch of spoiled pricks.

Okay, I am sorry about that, delete it if need be, I read the Walter deconstruction and I'm back on your bandwagon. Walter McCarty's trade pretty much saved my marriage and anyone that hates his game more than me is okay in my book.

We never delete anything, willie, we welcome and embrace contrary opinions – especially when they are as wrong as you usually are! Ha, ha.

You’re obviously on the right side of the Walter era, though. Is it good news or bad that the trade saved you marriage?

You mean to tell me Rick Brunson is no good? Wow you really are a doctor Mr. Chestnutt!

This was a great win engineered once again by the players on our roster that aren't in "star" status. It seems that everytime we get a real good win, it is mainly from our bench. I am not trying to take anything away from Pierce, that was a solid effort on his part, but Tony and West got this thing turned around.

I agree that Banks is on his last week or two in green. I can't say that I am going to miss him, except for that one occasional game when he plays the C's and knocks down 30 points. I will take comfort in all the other games that he records 0 assists.

Banks is one of those guys who'll put up good numbers on a bad team. I'm sure when he leaves and starts putting up 15 a night, everyone will say we fucked up by trading him, but I guarentee we'll be a better team.

Did you read that thing on Celticsblog about Pierce being a "Greedy passer"? It's pretty interesting

Banks blows. Dee Brown all over again. Great athelete, poor PG.

PP passing is a good thing. It means he's beginning to think everyone on his team doesn't suck.

Googs was probably Chris Wallace's idea. He's got a nack for getting overrated washed up, over the hill players..ala Dominque, Xavier, now Googs. I'm surprised we didn't get Rod Strickland. lol

Ha, I think Tim Hardaway is available too. Grab Kenny back and we'll be all set.

Just think how great this team would have been five years ago. GP was in his prime, Googs was an All-Star, PP and Reaf were young and hungry. Of course, AJ was in 8th grade!!

That 'greedy passing' theory is a bunch of horseshit. Often the NBA game is a two man game especially since Pierce has been running a bunch of pick and rolls with Raef. Often halfcourt sets become two man games. If you want to say Pierce isn't advancing the ball with a good outlet after a defensive rebound then just say it. Don't make it into some lame thesis about greedy passing. That guys sounds like an idiot. A big reason for Pierce getting more assists and passing the ball better is that guys are moving without the ball, Pierce has been finding back door cutters, or guys cutting to the basket. The guy who wrote this is an ass.

ha, the guy who wrote it often gives me shit for my comments at Celticsblog, so I tend to agree with you. I just thought it was an interesting way of looking at it because it plays into my problem with Banks, which is that even when his assists totals are high, they rarely seem to be because of good passes in a smoothly run offense. You rarely see Banks make the pass which leads to a better pass. re: the "greedy passing" I think Pierce is one of the better passers on the team, he just gets in trouble when he tries to force things.

oops, that wasn't anonymous, that was me.

Banks is officially done in my eyes and I've been a big fan, as is Jiri. Both of them seem to be intentionally freezing out West and in general hogging the ball. It should be their one goal everytime to enter the game to distribute with clean high percentage passes. Instead they blow to the hole with defenders draped all over them, look at wide open guys on the wing and say 'fuck it I'm going to shoot the ball no matter what'
