Payton did do us a favor by refusing his physical. We kept Banks, who should have more value than Jumaine Jones. We probably shoulda kept Mihm and let Blount go in that deal. All in all, I think we got our money's worth out of Payton, and if Danny gets something of value in a trade, all the better. Let's see who the first round pick from the Lakers turns out to be.

yeah, I agree completely. We got our money's worth.
I think Danny went with Blount over Mihm simply to prove that he can resign free agents, and that players like playing in Boston. Too bad he suceeded.

If they make it as the 3 seed I think they'll get past the first round.

You never know about that. As the 3 seed I think we would play O-town right now. We have had a few good ones against them, but four straight putting our defense (or lack of) against the highest scoring offense in the league isn't something I would want to see. Maybe we could win it though.
As for Payton, the Doc is right. He is getting to old for this sh*t. Payton is going to make a good back-up point guard for the next season or two before retiring. We already have two back up pg's. Why would we need a third? Regardless of what happens, we either need to draft a good point or trade for one. They don't fall out of trees.
I am not sold on West yet, and Banks... Well, Banks just sucks and he almost blew that game for us last night.

Even though they get may get the 3 seed, I believe the team with the best record gets home advantage. So, if season ended now, C's play Orlando with Orlando having home court advantage. Even though we have killed the Magic this season, I don't see a second round under that scenario. Neither do I see us beating Chi, Wash or Clev (three other teams we could meet).
Hey Willie, great crunch time shots by our ‘All-Star.’
Get the ball out of Pierce’s hands at the end of the game!!!!!

I have to agree with that. There are two other fantastic shooters on the team (Ricky and Raef) and several other .45+ shooters. Everybody on the planet knows they are going to pass it to Pierce when the game is on the line. Thankfully Ricky had the good sense to take the shot even though it wasn't the designed play. Jiri wouldn't have, and he would have passed into traffic and caused a turnover and subsequently lost the game (not trying to pick on Jiri - just inserting 2 for a 2).
The point here is that getting the ball away from PP starts with coaching.

What a shitty game alast night. We should have destroyed the Lakers. Why is Blount still on the team? I would rather see JReed out there logging minutes than that schmuck.

The seven foot pussy strikes again. Getting rid of McFarty was only half of the operation. There is still a fair amount of liposuction left to do. At least seven feet worth.

Jimbo got his Walker Strong in Webber.
As long as he stays reasonably healthy and Obie doesn't mess too much with his game, great trade for Philly. Look at the crap they gave up for him.
Meanwhile Ainge is doing what?
Though Ford is spouting on about the possibility of Pierce for Allen - You have to think Swift would be involved
and Radmanovic too

For some reason Blogger is fucked up, but if you type in http://celticsdoom.blogspot.com (as in, without the "www"), there's a new update on the Jiri trade
