We are definitely out of the top stop if The Answer and C.Webb play nice together. They are easily taking this division, and that bumps us out of 8th as of right now. We could get lucky in the lottery, but its doubtful. "Fucked" is a little much though. We are growing. Even if Gary is signed to a two year deal, he won't be here for all of it (because the nursing home is calling). But even if he is, it won't be that bad. West can't handle things yet (and maybe won't be able to), and we all know marcus could not pass his way out of a paper bag. So we are short at PG. We have some great2's but our 3 doesn't play well with them. I think Raef is top notch as far as Power Forwards go, and he will be around for years (hopefully he stays healthy). AJ can earn his minutes.
Lastly on my sililoquy is the center position. Blount sucks. He just wants to go home, so we should let him. Perkins, is a fighter, but not a center. He could learn, but he is at least two years away from being a

dominant center in this league.

I just think we're fucked if we sit pat, and it's always good to try and wring a one-sided trade at the deadline because that's when you'll get someone willing to overpay for a "name" player that they think will put them over the top. On the other hand, I have little idea as to what other GM's are offering Danny, and maybe there's nothing good out there, or maybe he thinks he learned a lesson from the Walker deal about trading in a buyer's market. But as for this piece, I think it's worthwhile to battle the Hagrid mentality of "this team is just a tweak away from greatness."
PS: It looks like something else might be in the works... I'd be shocked if it's Ricky or PP. My guess, it fizzles.
